Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTI)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Security Clearance: Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance, requiring residency in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

Strativ Group is seeking a skilled Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to enhance our cybersecurity efforts within the critical national infrastructure sector, specifically in energy. This pivotal role is designed to safeguard our essential energy systems from cyber threats. The successful candidate will take a proactive approach to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks that may impact our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Surveillance: Actively monitor and collect threat intelligence from various sources, including open platforms, dark web discussions, industry feeds, and other pertinent data.
  • Threat Detection: Identify and prioritize emerging threats to the organization.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute threat intelligence strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Comprehensive Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of threat actors, their capabilities, motivations, and methodologies.
  • Reporting: Create thorough threat intelligence reports that outline findings, risk evaluations, and suggested mitigation tactics.
  • Framework Development: Establish and maintain a robust threat intelligence framework.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with security operations teams to incorporate threat intelligence into detection and response workflows.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and refine threat intelligence processes to bolster the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and insights to elevate security awareness across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or incident response.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing threat intelligence platforms, data mining, and analytical methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying technical information.
  • Analytical Thinking: Self-driven with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with SCADA systems and associated threats is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as GCTI, GCIA, or CISSP are highly regarded.
