About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Analyst to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a Public Health Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform strategic planning, support public health initiatives, and drive positive change in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and patterns in public health data.
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Design and implement surveys, focus groups, and other research methods to gather data and inform public health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the council and external partners to develop and implement public health strategies and initiatives.
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in public health data analysis and interpretation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as public health, epidemiology, or data analysis.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical software, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing data management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
