Job Title: Specialist Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Worker to join our team. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will work closely with twins who require support with their daily lives.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and the ability to drive. You will be working with a family who values their relationships and requires someone who can understand and respect this.

The main communication method is British Sign Language, and while experience is an advantage, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the twins with their daily needs, including personal care and activities.
  • Work closely with the family, particularly the father, to ensure a smooth and effective support system.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support the twins' goals and aspirations.
  • Communicate effectively with the family and other professionals involved in the twins' care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Patience, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Previous experience working with young adults with autism and a commitment to their learning and development.
  • Ability to engage with an exciting training package, including intensive interaction, PECs, TEACCH, and British Sign Language.
  • Experience in personal care and a commitment to building relationships.
