We are seeking a highly motivated Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Infrastructure team on the A428 project. This role is crucial in providing expert guidance and support to senior management, ensuring the achievement of zero accidents across all operations.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure strict adherence to and reporting on the Company's Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) and all relevant statutory regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams in developing, reviewing, and implementing comprehensive Construction Phase Plans and Project Execution Plans.
  • Establish effective communication channels with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with your line manager, particularly regarding the escalation of accidents and incidents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and contributing factors.
  • Oversee the implementation of remedial actions to address identified issues stemming from accidents and incidents.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all incidents through relevant database systems, including any client-designated platforms.
  • Coordinate audits of projects under your responsibility and other projects as assigned.
  • Conduct audits of trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and collaborate with the Procurement Team to ensure compliance.
Your Qualifications:
  • Proven experience at a senior safety level in delivering large-scale infrastructure construction projects.
  • Possession of a Health & Safety NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Active pursuit of chartered membership with IOSH – CMIOSH.
  • Experience working with Highways England as a client.
  • Expertise in managing highways construction projects.
  • NEBOSH Diploma.
