Job Description

Senior Python Software Engineer (Data AWS)

Are you a data-driven Python Software Engineer looking to advance your career in a senior, hands-on role at a global Commodities Trading firm?

About the Role

As a Python Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Portfolio Managers to ensure seamless data integration, high availability, and real-time processing capabilities.

You will focus on backend Python development to integrate data from various internal and external sources, including Market Data feeds, trading platforms, and third-party providers.

Translate complex trading strategies into executable code, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Python code for data integration and processing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and high availability
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Python and AWS services
  • Work with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Advanced backend programming skills with Python
  • Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with deploying to AWS
  • Experience working on financial systems or a strong understanding of financial trading systems
  • 1 or above in Computer Science or similar discipline
