About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Paragon Alpha - Hedge Fund Talent Business. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in architecting and delivering our core macro platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable backend applications using Python and C++.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker technologies to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
Requirements
  • 5-15 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming languages, with a preference for Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • STEM academic background.
  • Experience working in big tech, finance, or startups.
  • Knowledge of Rust programming language.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
