Senior Python Software Engineer (Data AWS)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer to join our team at Onyx-Conseil. As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient data integration solutions using Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Portfolio Managers, to ensure seamless data integration and high availability.
  2. Design and develop backend Python applications to integrate data from various internal and external sources, including Market Data feeds, trading platforms, and third-party providers.
  3. Translate complex trading strategies into executable code, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  4. Work closely with the DevOps team to deploy applications to AWS.
  5. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code, following industry best practices.
  6. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python, data science, and cloud computing.

Requirements:

  1. Advanced backend programming skills with Python.
  2. Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  3. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  4. Experience with deploying to AWS.
  5. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Experience working on financial systems or a strong understanding of financial trading systems.
  8. Degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
