About the Role:
Are you a caring and compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Do you have a positive attitude and a can-do approach? We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Home Group, where you will play a vital role in helping our customers regain their independence and live well in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour support to our customers, ensuring they feel safe and cared for throughout the night.
- Work closely with your care team to follow support plans and promptly report any concerns.
- Support customers with daily living activities, such as getting dressed and preparing meals.
- Join a warm and friendly environment where we all support each other, making your experience here enjoyable and rewarding.
What We Offer:
- 34 days leave (including bank holidays and a 'me day' to use for whatever you fancy), increasing to 39, the option to buy 5 more, and time off for volunteering too.
- Health cash plan saving you from £1140 per annum. We'll cover your costs (and kids if you have them) towards dental, optical, prescriptions, alternative therapies, and lots more.
- Over 800 high street discounts on groceries, holidays, and days out. Looking for a new phone, bike, or car? Save money with us.
- We Grow Our Own colleagues (not literally of course), when you're ready for the next step in your career, you can grow with us.
- Colleagues really matters to us, that's why we're the 10th Best place in the UK for Wellbeing. Our tools and support help you when you need them.
Requirements:
- A Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience in a personal care environment would be great, but if you're new to care, we can help you work towards one as we provide all the training and support you need to help you succeed.
- We'd love to see candidates who have worked in CQC care settings, but it's not a dealbreaker if you haven't.
- A positive, caring can-do attitude is essential; your empathy will help transform our customers' lives.
- Previous experience of working with support plans is beneficial, but the ability to record and communicate information effectively is what we truly value.
- An understanding of the local community and networks would be brilliant, but what matters most is your people skills and ability to connect with others.
