About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurosurgery Spinal Specialist Nurse to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our spinal patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to spinal patients, including assessment, development, and implementation of care plans.
  • Lead and manage a defined caseload, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with trust values.
  • Provide education and training to staff, students, and patients, promoting best practice and improving patient outcomes.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

Proven experience in neurosurgery spinal care, with a strong understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding principles.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of independence and initiative.Post-registration qualifications relevant to the role, including mentorship and teaching qualifications.What We Offer
