Job Summary:

The NHS Specialist Health Nurse will work closely with Consultant Clinical Immunologists, Consultant Allergists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to deliver specialist immunology and allergy services to patients across Cumbria and Lancashire. The role will involve running nurse-led clinics, providing psychological support, and educating patients and healthcare professionals about immunodeficiency and allergy conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run nurse-led clinics for treatments and education
  • Provide psychological support to patients
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues to develop services and improve quality of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to audit, quality initiatives, and research
Requirements:
  • Appropriate NMC Registration
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing
  • NMC recognised Mentorship qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional education or development in the area of specialty
