Job Summary:

Flying Trade Group is seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team in Harwich, Essex. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to the success of our manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and pack food products, label cartons, and stack them in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Organize production processes to maximize efficiency and meet targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure quality standards for all products are met, raising any concerns or issues to the Production Manager or Engineers.
  • Follow company procedures for Health, Hygiene, and Safety, as well as Food Safety, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage the operation of the assigned line, reporting any issues or breakdowns to the Production Manager or Engineers.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement to production methods and processes, suggesting changes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a food production environment is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided to support ongoing progression and development.
  • Attention to detail is imperative, with good numeracy and written skills.
  • Confident working in a team and independently, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A strong work ethic, conveying confidence and passion in delivering high-quality service.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity, with a high standard of punctuality and attendance.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks, with training provided.
