Logistics Operations Coordinator
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 7am - 4pm

About the Role:
We are collaborating with a prominent supplier of fresh produce located near Maidstone, seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Logistics Operations Coordinator for a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
The Logistics Operations Coordinator will manage various administrative tasks associated with logistics operations, including but not limited to:

  • Daily and weekly administration of essential logistics processes.
  • Overseeing haulier invoice verifications, resolving queries, and managing recharge mechanisms.
  • Administering the uplift and returns within agreed timeframes to minimize losses.
  • Communicating outbound collection schedules to distribution points.
  • Coordinating haulier collections and informing customers of estimated arrival times.
  • Organizing customer and PR sample collections/transfers from sites while maintaining cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Managing delivery discrepancies and related claims within set timelines.
  • Tracking vehicles (both UK and European), setting up data management, and reporting on inbound loads to meet on-time delivery KPIs.
  • Assisting with volume and cost analysis of inbound and outbound loads.
  • Addressing daily queries promptly and nurturing key relationships with suppliers, customers, growers, and hauliers.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interactions with suppliers, customers, growers, and hauliers.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet business needs.
  • A collaborative mindset to work as part of a team across various departments.
  • A solid understanding of the supply chain processes related to retail customers.
  • Analytical skills, proficiency in computer applications, a good level of mathematics, and a professional telephone manner.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle due to the rural nature of the location.
