Logistics Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team at KHR - Recruitment Specialists. As a Logistics Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily and weekly logistics processes and functions, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Check and resolve haulier invoice queries and implement recharging mechanisms to minimize delays and costs.
  • Administer uplifts and returns within agreed timeframes to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate outbound collection times to distribution points, ensuring seamless coordination and logistics.
  • Arrange haulier collections and communicate ETA to customers, providing clear and concise information.
  • Organize customer and PR sample collections/transfers from sites at the best cost and service, maintaining detail in the sales orders system.
  • Manage delivery discrepancies and associated claims within agreed timescales, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Track vehicles (UK and European), set up data management, report on inbound loads, and analyze to meet on-time/arrival time KPIs.
  • Assist with volume and cost analysis of in and outbound loads, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Deal with daily queries promptly, maintain and develop key relationships with regular suppliers, customers, growers, and hauliers.
Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, customers, growers, and hauliers in a professional and honest way.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to suit business needs, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and across other departments at all levels, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
  • Good understanding of the supply chain to retail customers, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • Analytical, computer literate, good level of maths, and professional telephone manner.
  • Hold a full UK license and access to a vehicle due to rural location.
