About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Unipart Logistics. As a First Line Manager, you will play a key role in managing the operation within your area of responsibility, ensuring the efficient and effective provision of a quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Performance Management: Ensure the operation achieves all daily, weekly and monthly targets and KPI's, resulting in high performance levels and efficient service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of direct line reports, including delivering team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
  • Culture and Engagement: Actively promote and embed a culture of employee engagement within the team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance to Warehouse, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and safe systems of work, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilise continuous improvement tools and techniques, supporting team members in their application and driving process improvements.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a proven track record of managing and leading teams, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to self-development and team development. You should have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental standards, as well as experience of delivering excellent customer service.
