Job Overview:

The Financial Data Reconciliation Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of investment portfolio information by cross-referencing data from external sources with an advanced web-based platform. This position is vital for delivering timely and precise portfolio status updates to clients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to daily timelines for reviewing and refreshing reporting data. Analyze and resolve issues identified within the reconciliation framework by employing problem-solving skills and seeking guidance from mentors and departmental experts as necessary. Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with data providers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Exhibit a proactive approach towards exploring product innovation opportunities. Gain proficiency in utilizing internal tools and processes effectively. Comprehend financial principles and apply them to rectify reconciliation discrepancies. Communicate efficiently with both internal and external parties to raise inquiries and provide timely updates on pertinent matters.

Essential Skills:

Fundamental understanding of investment, financial, and accounting principles. Familiarity with GAAP and/or IFRS is advantageous. Basic knowledge of standard security types. Experience in securities or financial markets is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, VBA, etc.) is preferred. Background in finance and/or accounting is preferred. Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional attention to detail and robust documentation capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities. Outstanding problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, mathematics, sciences, or a related field is required.
