Investec is a leading Specialist Bank serving clients in the UK and South Africa. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our UK Senior Credit team.

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Credit Analyst with a strong background in corporate leveraged finance and a deep understanding of the direct lending market. As a Senior Credit Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing and assessing the merits of new deals, participating in Credit Committee meetings, and providing detailed insights to Credit and Risk Management stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and assess the merits of new deals presented by the front office desk to the UK Credit agenda.
  • Participate in Credit Committee meetings for Direct Lending transactions and provide recommendations to the team.
  • Research counterparties, markets, and/or products as required and provide detailed insights to Credit and Risk Management stakeholders.
  • Prepare deal summaries and transaction updates for credit reporting to the board, rating agencies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience working in banking/finance with a strong background in corporate leveraged finance.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of various debt/equity structures and risk reward factors for leveraged finance transactions.
  • Knowledge of market standard leverage finance transactions and facility documentation.
