Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to Purchasing teams across the UK and globally.
- Share best practices globally and ensure regular progress updates to the Global Managing Director.
- Lead monthly reporting to the Executive Management Team and coordinate annual business planning and budgeting for Purchasing.
- Establish clear goals and expectations to manage employee performance.
- Identify and manage key operating risks effectively.
- Oversee UK purchasing activities to meet customer demands and provide operational guidance to international purchasing functions.
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships through various interactions and ensure continuous product quality improvement.
- Negotiate pricing and quality and develop new supplier relationships.
- Manage the Supplier Rebate Scheme and ensure adequate stock levels to support sales teams.
- Oversee the global system for addressing customer issues and collaborate with factories to resolve product issues.
- Work with Sales teams to ensure technical knowledge supports the sales process and develop technical resources in line with brand guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments, manage import documentation, and ensure products meet regional compliance levels.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of success.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in global purchasing and compliance is essential.
