Connect2Luton is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Manager to join our team on behalf of Luton Borough Council.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality human resources advice to Corporate Directors, Service Directors, and other managers to support the delivery of excellent service to the people of Luton.
  • Direct and manage the HR Operations Team to improve service provision, increase efficiency, and ensure a structure that meets current and future business needs.
  • Offer a HR business partnering service to senior managers across the HR function and the Council, including the deployment of HR staff to address specific needs.
  • Provide expert advice on complex and sensitive human resources matters, including corporate/complex employment law and employee relations issues.
Key Accountabilities:
  1. Provide high-level and expert advice on human resources matters, particularly on complex and sensitive issues.
  2. Support the Service Director (HR) & Monitoring Officer on corporate activity and provide a high-level advisory service to managers and Members.
  3. Liaise closely with Business Manager (Strategy) and Business Manager (Business Support) to improve service provision and increase efficiency.
