About the Role

As a Logistics Operations Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects and providing essential consultancy for our warehouse operations team across various regions. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to post-implementation support, aimed at enhancing productivity and minimizing costs within our Regional Distribution Centres. We seek a results-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Flexibility to travel to Regional Distribution Centres throughout the UK will be required approximately 40% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initial concept through to delivery and subsequent follow-up.
  • Optimize warehouse processes to assist logistics management teams in developing metrics for enhanced productivity and compliance.
  • Conduct consultancy and collaboration visits to Regional Distribution Centres.
  • Analyze productivity and operational costs, including KPI assessments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate interdepartmental meetings with Head Office colleagues and external partners.
  • Address daily logistics-related inquiries.
  • Provide project and process updates to senior logistics management.
  • Prepare and present materials for national meetings, workshops, and project proposals.
  • Support the opening of new Regional Distribution Centres.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures across all RDCs.
  • Maintain regular communication with warehouse process and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Preferred existing knowledge and experience in logistics and warehousing.
  • Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain setting.
  • Desirable experience in project management from concept to rollout.
  • Ability to lead and take ownership of tasks while supporting colleagues through transitions.
  • Strong conflict resolution and change management skills.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage your workload and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent rapport-building skills with colleagues across regions and departments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, capable of challenging processes and encouraging creative thinking.
  • Comfortable working with numerical data and conducting analyses.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a focus on cost-effective solutions.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time.
