Logistics Warehouse Operations Consultant

£49,500* - £66,000* per annum | 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Logistics Operations Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects and providing essential logistics consultancy for our warehouse operations. Your efforts will be vital in enhancing productivity and minimizing costs across our Regional Distribution Centres.

Flexibility to travel to various RDCs across the UK is required, approximately 40% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee new initiatives from inception to completion and subsequent follow-up
  • Optimize warehouse processes to assist logistics management teams in developing metrics for enhanced productivity and compliance
  • Conduct consultancy and collaborative visits to RDCs
  • Analyze productivity and operational costs, including KPI assessments
  • Facilitate and coordinate interdepartmental meetings with Head Office and external partners
  • Address daily logistics-related inquiries
  • Provide project and process updates to senior logistics management
  • Prepare and present for national meetings, workshops, and project proposals
  • Support the launch of new Regional Distribution Centres
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures across RDCs
  • Maintain regular communication with warehouse process and operations teams

Qualifications

  • Preferred existing knowledge and experience in logistics and warehousing
  • Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain setting
  • Desirable experience in project management from concept to implementation
  • Ability to lead and take ownership of tasks while supporting colleagues through transitions
  • Strong conflict resolution and change management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent rapport-building skills within regions and Head Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Proactive and innovative mindset with a focus on broader business objectives
  • Confidence in working with numerical data and conducting analyses
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is preferred
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on cost awareness
  • Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time
