About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Lidl GB as a Logistics Strategy Consultant, where you will play a key role in shaping the company's logistics network strategy. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for project managing RDC installations and automation projects across the Lidl RDC network.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage RDC installations and automation projects across the Lidl RDC network
- Plan and optimize our logistics network strategy to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations
- Drive innovation across HO departments to upgrade our logistics infrastructure and improve operational efficiency
- Plan and manage budgets for respective project areas and ensure timely completion of projects
- Support with the design, construction, and operational setup of new Regional Distribution Centres, providing reports, project updates, and business support to international logistics teams
- Engage, advise, and support stakeholders during the implementation of projects and provide knowledge to colleagues and stakeholders within the business
- Execute projects in collaboration with relevant international departments and stakeholders, identifying potential risks and introducing preventative measures
Requirements
- Confidence to take active ownership of tasks and projects, with a high level of numeracy and analytical skills
- Organized with the ability to manage own workload and prioritize conflicting deadlines, with strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and taking a proactive, creative approach to business, with a strong understanding of logistics and ability to consider the bigger picture
- Driven attitude to achieve high-quality results, with a quick learning ability and strong understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
