About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lidl GB as a Logistics Strategy Consultant, where you will play a key role in shaping the company's logistics network strategy. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for project managing RDC installations and automation projects across the Lidl RDC network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage RDC installations and automation projects across the Lidl RDC network
  • Plan and optimize our logistics network strategy to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations
  • Drive innovation across HO departments to upgrade our logistics infrastructure and improve operational efficiency
  • Plan and manage budgets for respective project areas to ensure cost-effectiveness and ROI
  • Support with the design, construction, and operational setup of new Regional Distribution Centres, providing reports, project updates, and business support to international logistics teams
  • Engage, advise, and support stakeholders during the implementation of projects to ensure successful outcomes
  • Provide knowledge and expertise to colleagues and stakeholders within the business who are interfacing with their own area of responsibility, such as Warehouse Operational Logistics, Transport, IT System Support, Maintenance, HR, Procurement, and Trading Compliance
  • Execute projects in collaboration with relevant international departments and stakeholders, identifying potential risks, introducing preventative measures, and ensuring follow-up

Requirements

  • Confidence to take active ownership of tasks and projects, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Highly numerate with an analytical mindset, able to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Organized with an ability to manage own workload and prioritize conflicting deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of projects
  • Strong communication skills and keen eye to detail, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving innovation, with a proactive and creative approach to business
  • Driven attitude to achieve high-quality results, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional outcomes
  • Quick to learn new ideas and concepts, with a willingness to adapt and evolve in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding and confident use of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling presentations and reports
  • Existing knowledge of logistics is essential, with a deep understanding of supply chain operations and logistics management
