About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Energy Transition team at Ramboll. As a key member of our Secondary Steel Design group working within Offshore Wind Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design and documentation of secondary structural components for offshore wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver secondary steel design work packages for Concept Design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Designs, collaborating with secondary steel engineers and other relevant disciplines.
- Oversee the work of secondary steel engineers and CAD technicians, ensuring high-quality design and documentation of secondary structural components.
- Coordinate design output with the Project/Design Manager and other discipline Lead Engineers.
- Perform analyses and optimisation of structural designs, examining results and identifying main design drivers.
- Present design methods and results at client and certifying agent meetings during the design and certification process.
- Ensure designs are optimised to meet the latest safety requirements, accounting for the full life cycle of the structure from fabrication through operation to decommissioning.
- Ensure calculations are sufficiently checked and document all quality assurance processes to meet project audit requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers in applied methods and processes to design material-optimised and fabrication-friendly structures.
- Contribute to Ramboll's technical development in the field of secondary steel design.

About You
We are looking for a highly qualified engineer with a Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on offshore structure design. You should have a track record of applying structural engineering principles, design standard requirements, and the fabrication/construction process to produce efficient designs. Proven knowledge and understanding of 3D CAD and structural models are essential. Experience with coordinating designs with other disciplines and stakeholders is also required.
