Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

Join JLR as a Systems Validation Specialist, where you will be instrumental in the assessment and validation of the Interior Climate Control and Air Quality systems.

As a key member of the systems engineering division focused on Climate Control, you will contribute to the strategic development of testing rigs and oversee the validation planning and execution processes.

YOUR OBJECTIVE

Collaborate closely with the Systems Engineering and Calibration teams to enhance testing coverage and ensure a robust quality assurance process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with your line manager and cross-functional teams to establish clear product objectives, utilizing data-driven insights to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Oversee the operational management of system functional rigs located in various regions, supporting the validation of Climate Control systems.
  • Engage with operations and service teams to enhance the capabilities of both domestic and international rigs in alignment with system requirements.
  • Work in tandem with key stakeholders to structure and manage the flow of test plans that facilitate rig operations.
  • Foster strong relationships within the team, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement while embracing agile methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in a Systems Engineering or Controls and Calibration setting, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • In-depth technical understanding of Systems Engineering principles, including the V-Model, Systems Integration, and Requirements Management.
  • Familiarity with product development processes, change control, and product definition methodologies.
  • Experience in practical testing environments, such as HIL, Lab Car, or Vehicle-in-loop setups.
  • Hands-on proficiency with testing tools and debugging software, including but not limited to CAN Analyser, CANOE, and INCA toolsets.
