Position Overview:
Daytime Healthcare Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent National Children's Residential Organization seeking dedicated Youth Justice Support Workers.

Compensation:
Overtime and bank holidays compensated at time and a half.

Salary Structure:
Full Time - £26,516 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week (including weekends and bank holidays).
Part Time - £13,258 pro-rata, based on a 20-hour work week (including weekends and bank holidays).

Key Responsibilities:
As a Youth Justice Support Worker, your duties will include:
1. Providing direct assistance and care for young individuals aged 16 to 17 years.
2. Ensuring the safety of young people through collaborative efforts with external agencies and emergency services, adhering to local authority safeguarding protocols.
3. Collaborating closely with local authorities to mitigate young people's offending behaviors and assist them in fulfilling their court mandates.
4. Maintaining a trauma-informed atmosphere within the residential setting at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, or Youth Work.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth.
- A solid understanding of the challenges faced by young individuals.
- The capability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Insight into the barriers and challenges that non-white youth encounter within the criminal justice system.
