Customer Retention Specialist Intern

IGEL Technology simplifies and secures the delivery of digital workspaces, enabling access to any cloud while reducing costs. Our renewal business focuses on retaining customers who utilize our platform to maintain IT flexibility and control, manage, and secure remote endpoints efficiently.
To strengthen our renewals team, we are seeking a highly motivated Customer Retention Specialist Intern. This position offers invaluable practical experience in renewal and retention strategies within the dynamic IT industry.
Your Responsibilities- Engage with potential customers and partners through phone and email, guiding them through contract renewals and generating new business opportunities.
- Identify prospects for offering additional products and services to enhance customer value.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information regarding renewal opportunities within our systems, ensuring seamless forecasting and process management.
- Act as a liaison between customers, partners, and internal business groups, facilitating smooth renewal transactions for optimal customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate renewal activities with the customer's sales representative to ensure timely and efficient execution of renewals.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager to seamlessly integrate into our customer success model and effectively support renewal discussions.
- Create tailored renewal quotes specifically for renewals conducted through partners and resellers/distributors.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings, version updates, and pricing structures to excel in this role.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in computer science, business informatics, or a related field of study, or recently graduated and seeking part-time employment.
- Enrolled for at least another six months with availability for up to 20 hours per week.
- Possess an energetic and positive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, effectively understanding customer needs, displaying empathy, and providing timely resolutions.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, drive, and resilience to consistently meet and exceed targets while maintaining a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential; German language proficiency is a valuable asset.
