Position Overview:

We are in search of a Client Relationship Executive to become a vital part of our successful Energy Intensive Division team. This division is dedicated to addressing the utility and sustainability requirements of large industrial clients. This role is home-based.

Key Responsibilities:


We are seeking an experienced Client Relationship Executive who will be accountable for ensuring that their client portfolio derives maximum commercial and operational value from the solutions provided.

You will take charge of the client experience and foster long-term relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor to support retention and growth.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will encompass, but are not limited to:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, demonstrating expertise and accountability.
  • Cultivate and sustain trusted relationships with various stakeholders at different levels within each account.
  • Advocate for your clients internally, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment of contracted client needs and resolution of any arising issues.
  • Maintain and manage CRM records consistently.
Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Achieve challenging financial targets focused on client retention and business development.
  • Proactively identify and manage a pipeline of retention and business development opportunities for a designated set of clients through tailored account management strategies.
  • Understand the array of services offered and how they can be tailored to meet client needs.
  • Organize and deliver presentations and performance updates to clients to support retention and stimulate business development.
  • Provide insights to commercial services teams (e.g., Bids/Proposals, Marketing, Sales) to develop clear and compelling value propositions.
  • Maintain numerous contacts for 'References' and collaborate with Marketing to create case studies from your client base.
Technical Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about industry developments in energy procurement, commodity market conditions, net-zero carbon initiatives, regulatory changes, and sustainability/ESG to maintain credibility with clients.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and execution of risk management trading strategies on behalf of clients.
  • Adhere to the company Health & Safety Policy, ensuring reasonable care for personal and others' health and safety, and cooperate with management and colleagues to fulfill statutory duties.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • At least 5 years of extensive knowledge in the energy/utilities/sustainability services sector.
  • Proven experience working with clients on flexible supply contracts.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with strong MS Office (especially Excel) and MS Outlook skills, as well as experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of multitasking, prioritizing multiple deadlines, and managing requests from various clients.

Desirable:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management/client relationship/business development.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving financial targets.

Additional Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK for client visits.
  • GCSEs (English and Maths) and A-Levels.

Desirable:

  • Professional sales/account management training.
  • Higher-level qualification relevant to the position or equivalent educational background.
