Octopus Energy Group is driving the widespread electrification of the UK through a pioneering initiative, Electrify Britain. Our mission is to make energy cheaper, more secure, and drive economic growth through electrification.

**The Importance of Electrification**

Electrification is crucial to achieving net zero emissions. Currently, transport accounts for 23% of UK emissions, and domestic heating contributes 15%. By transitioning to electric vehicles and electrified homes, we can dramatically cut these emissions and reduce household energy costs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and execute advocacy campaigns to promote electrification policies and initiatives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Electrify Britain, ensuring efficient and effective management.
  • Lead a highly agile, high-impact team, including a Social Media and Communications Manager and a Researcher.
  • Develop and manage the organisation's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
  • Oversee the organisation's communications strategy, including media relations, social media, and effective responses to anti-net zero activities on social media and other platforms.
