Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Land and Planning department, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-construction phases of development projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development process from land acquisition to project completion, ensuring all legal, design, and planning issues are addressed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including estimating, mobilisation, and construction teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Prepare and present reports and risk registers to internal stakeholders, ensuring audit compliance and timely decision-making.
- Appoint and manage consultant teams, including architects and engineers, to produce scheme-specific information and ensure timely submission to planning authorities.
- Maintain excellent communication with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring relevant information is shared and actions are progressed in a timely manner.
- Identify and mitigate risks, working with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a development role within the construction, property development, or housing industry.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programmes, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work under own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Able to travel regularly throughout the area, with access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
- Experience of all stages of development, including legal, design, planning-related activities, and health and safety.
