Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team at Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children, aged from birth to five years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our nursery team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's learning and development.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities and play opportunities that support children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of child welfare and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, and to support the achievement of our nursery's goals.

Requirements

  • GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete Functional Skills alongside the apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience working with children, although not essential, is highly desirable.
  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child, and the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults.
