Senior Financial Accountant – FryerMiles

FryerMiles, a rapidly expanding travel enterprise, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with specialized knowledge in the travel sector. This pivotal role is essential for driving the financial management and reporting functions of both domestic and international travel operations.

The successful applicant will possess a robust accounting background within the travel domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and scrutinize financial statements, ensuring adherence to IATA, ATOL, and ABTA reporting standards.
  • Facilitate enhancements in operational and financial systems to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Maintain precise financial documentation and guarantee timely delivery of financial reports.
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting to aid in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews with industry regulations and internal controls.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial analyses and reports to senior leadership, emphasizing significant trends, variances, and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
  • Engage with external auditors and regulatory agencies to comply with the annual reporting schedule.
  • Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards, implementing necessary modifications to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion or progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within the travel sector.
  • Familiarity with IATA, ATOL, and ABTA reporting standards and regulations is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting applications.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
