Job Title: Lead Visualisation Artist

Company Overview: The Recruitment Bunker is a leading recruitment agency specialising in the placement of highly skilled professionals in the automotive industry.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Visualisation Artist to join our client, a leading automotive group based in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all digital visualisation activities, including creative concepting, storyboarding, modelling, animation, lighting, rendering, and compositing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all digital visualisation activities, responsible for creative concepting, storyboarding, modelling, animation, lighting, rendering, and compositing.
  • Editing of all design studio visual assets, from still imagery to full animations, from concept to completion.
  • Set up and run VR sessions, preferably in UE5 but will accept VRED.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including support functions marketing, to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience of working in an automotive OEM or consultancy environment with a demonstrated background of delivering visual assets.
  • UE5 & or VRED is essential with the ability to use Photoshop, Maya or 3DS Max, After Effects.
  • Strong sense of visual composition, light, and colour.
  • Solid understanding of lighting within studio environments to highlight product features, post-processes, material setup and general workflows.
  • Deep understanding of camera lensing procedures, including orthographic, perspective and primes.
  • Knowledge of creative best practices for automotive, which includes understanding preferred angles, how to frame product features, etc.
  • Work within a fluid creative design environment while adhering to tight delivery timelines.
  • Strong team working skills to understand the needs and build a learning relationship.
  • Evidence of meeting deliverables in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Decisive, dynamic, pro-active, and assertive qualities.
  • IT literate – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Catia, Blender, Maya and other 3D modelling tools will be a plus.
  • Degree/Diploma in Digital Modelling/Product Design/Transportation Design is a plus.
