At Bupa, we're committed to supporting our residents in living their best lives. As an Activity Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in delivering events and activities that truly enrich their lives and foster a sense of community.

You'll work closely with our Head of Activities to get to know our residents and understand their interests, abilities, and difficulties. Your goal will be to encourage participation in activities and ensure that every resident feels valued and included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify suitable activities for our residents through assessment, observation, and discussion, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Liaise with residents, relatives, friends, and colleagues to understand resident's interests, abilities, and difficulties, and encourage participation in activities.
  • Assist the Head of Activities in planning special events at the village, such as garden parties, musical events, and day trips, ensuring activities are carried out within the agreed budget and accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Assist residents with letter writing, shopping, and reading, encouraging the pursuit of individual hobbies.
  • Ensure the activities programme is regularly updated and advertised within the village, including events within the local community.

Requirements:

It's essential you have a full, clean UK driving licence and experience organising events. Experience working with the elderly and/or vulnerable is advantageous. You'll need a positive attitude, the ability to motivate residents using your energy and great sense of humour, and empathetic and friendly approach to building long-lasting professional relationships with colleagues, residents, their families, and members of the local community.
