Clinical Coding Specialist

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinical Coder to join our Clinical Coding Department. As a Specialist Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for the clinical coding of complex acute specialties, abstracting clinical data from patient records and translating it into diagnostic and procedure coding classifications.
Main Responsibilities- Abstract clinical data from patient records and translate it into diagnostic and procedure coding classifications
- Work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and ensure high-quality coding standards
- Collaborate with clinicians in all specialties to ensure procedures and diagnoses are accurate and meet national standards
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

Requirements- Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification
- Experience of working in a clinical coding environment, preferably in an acute setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
