Key Responsibilities

  • First Point of Contact

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the care home, providing a warm and welcoming experience for everyone.

Visitor Management

Ensure all visitors sign in and out, and maintain accurate records of their visits.

Communication and Administration

Answer all telephone calls, take messages, and deliver them in a timely manner or transfer calls to the relevant person. Deal with incoming and outgoing post, and ensure the reception area is always kept neat and tidy.

Collaboration and Reporting

Work closely with the Home Manager and Administrator to ensure the home is stocked with necessary stationery. Record and report on the home's daily and weekly updates as advised by the Home Manager.

Marketing and Recruitment

Promote the home, conduct show arounds, and support with recruitment of new team members.

Requirements

  • Positive Attitude

A positive, can-do approach is essential for this role.

Excellent Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills are required to interact with residents, visitors, and staff.

IT Skills

Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are necessary for this role.

Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and ensuring the reception area is tidy.

Previous Experience

Previous experience in a customer-facing or reception role is desirable.

A competitive salary of £12.00 per hour is offered for this role.

Flexible Working Hours

The role involves working 18 hours a week, every Thursday and Friday from 8am - 5pm, with overtime available to cover annual leave.
