About the Role

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Partner to join our award-winning Real Estate department at William James Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist quality legal advice to a broad range of private individuals and businesses.

The team advises on a full range of real estate transactions, including advising an extensive client base consisting of investors, developers, and lenders. You will work closely with the Head of Department on business development opportunities, as well as supervising and delegating work to junior solicitors.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience running a high-value, complex caseload with a growth mindset, and ideally a portable client following to continue to expand our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist quality legal advice to clients on a full range of real estate transactions
  • Work closely with the Head of Department on business development opportunities
  • Supervise and delegate work to junior solicitors
  • Manage a varied caseload of property matters from inception to completion
  • Develop and grow the department through business development and client relationships

Requirements

  • Real Estate Managing Associate/Partner with experience gained at a reputable law firm
  • A portable client following would be highly advantageous
  • Strong technical ability, commercial acumen, and a passion for business development
  • Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise, and manage a varied caseload of property matters
  • Ability to work within a team to develop and grow the department
  • Strong academic profile
