Accounts Payable Team Leader

Sanctuary Group, a leading provider of housing, care, and commercial services, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join its Finance Shared Services team in Worcester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of 7 and ensure the timely processing of invoices while maintaining high customer service standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Invoice Management team and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • Support a team with monitoring volumes and achieving team targets
  • Support reporting of daily figures, workflow management, and weekly KPI reporting
  • Show initiative to process urgent requests and take ownership of outstanding queries
  • Play a key role in supporting the Group to achieve its objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear communication between teams and champion best practice
Requirements:
  • AAT part/fully qualified or equivalent level of qualification
  • Experience of leading a team within a high volume transactional processing function or similar
  • Good working knowledge of invoice processing and experience in supporting team members
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
