Accounts Payable Team Leader

Sanctuary Group, a leading provider of housing, care, and commercial services, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join its Finance Shared Services team in Worcester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of 7 and ensure that all invoices are processed in a timely manner, while maintaining high customer service standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, with experience in leading teams and managing high-volume transactional processing functions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Invoice Management team
  • Supporting a team with accurate and timely processing of invoices, monitoring volumes, and achieving team targets
  • Supporting reporting of daily figures, workflow management, and weekly KPI reporting
  • Showing initiative to process urgent requests and taking ownership of outstanding queries
  • Playing a key role in supporting the Group to achieve its objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Providing clear communication between teams and championing best practice

The ideal candidate will have:

  • AAT part/fully qualified, equivalent level of qualification, or qualified by experience
  • Experience of leading a team within a high-volume transactional processing function or similar
  • Good working knowledge of invoice processing and experience in supporting team members
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
