Job PurposeThe Senior Business Information Security Officer (BISO) team plays a critical role in Liberty Global's information security and transformation programme, ensuring the secure delivery of new projects and initiatives.
As a Senior BISO, you will act as a single point of contact for your business area, understanding the strategy and interacting with group shared security services to drive security outcomes.
Effective communication and collaboration are at the heart of what the BISO team does, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with senior business leaders.
Key Accountabilities- Develop a deep understanding of business goals to engage senior leaders on information security, identifying key areas for improvement and driving risk management decisions.
- Act as the primary security point of contact for business leadership, delivering tailored advice to ensure secure project delivery.
- Facilitate security support to business projects, acting as an interlock between business unit project leadership and wider Group Security experts.
- Proactively assess and review existing processes to deliver improvements to the security control posture.
- Work with senior business leaders to integrate information security policies and standards with business processes.
- Lead on ensuring financial and HR applications and services align with relevant information security policies and standard process controls.
- Effectively engage key contacts to understand the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
- Develop a detailed understanding of LSS project roadmaps and progress, providing regular updates to Group Security leadership.
- Manage the provision of ad-hoc security advice and support to partners.
- Develop strong relationships to build a detailed understanding of security risks across the business.
- Take accountability for identifying, assessing, and managing new and existing risks, balancing security with business priorities.
- Regularly brief senior leadership on cyber threats and risks profile, ensuring clear communication.
- Support timely reporting of risks to security and business leadership.
- Deliver against the overarching security culture and awareness strategy across LSS and supporting teams.
- Build business awareness of emerging security threats and risks, developing a security culture throughout the organisation.
- Regularly brief Liberty Shared Services leadership on progress against the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
- Identify key areas of focus for education and awareness campaigns using expert knowledge of the business.
Essential skills and abilities include experience and knowledge of best practice information security controls, highly skilled at identifying security risks, and experience of supporting security reviews and deployments.
Desirable skills and abilities include experience of providing security advisory for automation initiatives, good understanding of security frameworks, and good awareness of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Preferred education and qualifications include a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
