Job Description

As a Strategic Financial Partner at Inspired Thinking Group (ITG), you will play a crucial role in supporting and advising client account teams to drive informed decision making through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Produce period and year-end results for client account teams, including management analysis, highlighting variances, trends, and impacts on the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with client account directors to prepare and analyze the monthly job tracker to gross margin level, identifying, investigating, and providing commentary against significant variances to forecast/budget.
  • Working Capital Management: Regularly review and actively support client account teams to manage working capital, including sales reserves, aged debt, and WIP.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Support client account teams in the timely preparation of forecasts and budgets, reviewing and challenging assumptions.
  • Financial Implications: Work collaboratively with client account teams to ensure they are aware of the financial implications of operational decisions.
  • Communication: Act as the prime point of contact for the finance department, participating in regular meetings with client account directors.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Undertake financial analysis and reporting as requested, and perform other ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required in line with the role's remit.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAGE Intacct or similar finance platform, strong MS Excel skills.
