About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Partner to join our team at MRK Associates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial management of our diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead finance partner for our Property function, providing strategic financial guidance and support.
  • Develop and manage the financial framework for capital investment and property maintenance, ensuring optimal financial efficiency.
  • Work closely with budget holders to prepare business cases and provide capital investment recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure and property maintenance costs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Carry out financial analysis on leasehold renewals, exits, dilapidations, and freehold acquisitions/disposals, providing actionable insights.
  • Manage onerous lease provisions and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, minimizing financial risk.
  • Handle tax filings related to property and ensure all legal documentation and debt terms are adhered to, maintaining a high level of financial compliance.
  • Provide regular updates on financial and operational action plans, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Continuously assess KPIs and metrics to monitor the Division's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to generate actionable management information for the Executive team, informing strategic decision-making.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner in a senior commercial finance role, with a strong background in property and capital expenditure management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting and deriving insights from complex financial data.
  • A solid understanding of key financial principles and proactive performance management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to contribute positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified accountant, with experience in regulated environments being advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to our Southern Hub in Maidenhead as required.
