The Role
Located at our Headington campus and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Administrative Partner will provide extensive, professional, and confidential administrative assistance. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Chief People Officer, necessitating a high degree of tact, discretion, and a welcoming demeanor.

About the Team
The People Directorate supports all Facilities and Directorates, comprising approximately 70 staff members. This team, situated on the Headington Hill campus, offers guidance and expertise in various areas, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment, equality, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive, professional, and confidential administrative support to the Chief People Officer (and, when necessary, the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer).
  • Prepare and compile documents, ensuring timely submissions for significant university committees.
  • Assist the Directorate Senior Management Team with various tasks.
  • Manage electronic calendars, scheduling and organizing meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and route incoming communications, responding to letters and emails, and drafting replies as needed.
  • Support administrative tasks as directed by the Chief People Officer, including long service awards and university pay schemes.

Required Skills and Experience
  • A high standard of educational qualifications, including excellent written communication skills and a solid understanding of numeracy.
  • Proficiency in Google applications and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in proofreading and drafting documents/presentations, with a background in financial transactions and budget monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior personal assistant or executive assistant supporting a senior leader.
  • Ability to work independently and manage sensitive corporate information.
  • A keen attention to detail, with the capability to perform under pressure in a dynamic office environment.
