About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. As a Physiotherapist in Palliative Care, you will play a vital role in providing holistic physiotherapy assessments and treatment to patients with complex, life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and implement therapy interventions for patients with progressive and life-threatening diseases.
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy input to optimize non-pharmacological management of symptoms, including breathlessness and pain.
  • Contribute to and lead symptom-specific group programs, such as advanced care planning courses, breathlessness groups, and exercise groups.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Physiotherapist and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation programs for patients.
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient documentation, adhering to professional standards, hospice policy, and legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration.
  • Advanced communication skills or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience in a wide range of core clinical areas, including Respiratory, Neurology, Medical, MSK, and Community.
  • Awareness of NSFs, local, and national initiatives relating to palliative care.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of working within the field of palliative care.
