Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the upkeep of all grassy areas, including mowing, trimming, weed management, and fertilization.
  • Ensuring the health and appearance of trees and shrubs through regular maintenance, including trimming and pruning.
  • Caring for flower beds, border plants, hanging baskets, and potted plants to ensure vibrant displays.
  • Conducting general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, weed removal, litter collection, and leaf raking on paved surfaces.
  • Maintaining organization in tool sheds and storage areas while ensuring all gardening equipment is in good working order.
  • Assisting the Maintenance Operative with painting and basic maintenance tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in landscape maintenance and a genuine passion for gardening. Experience in managing large estates, knowledge of horticultural regulations, and relevant qualifications in gardening or horticulture are advantageous. A friendly demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are essential. Practical skills in painting and decorating are also beneficial.
