Director of Operations and Contract Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations and Contract Management to join our team at Compass Associates. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of support services within our hospital, providing leadership for the effective management of all non-clinical functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain commercial contracts, including property, funders of healthcare, and NHS standard contracts.
  • Develop and implement revenue management and collection strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Services to create and deliver the strategic, operational, and business development plan for the hospital.
  • Identify business development opportunities, such as new services and development of existing services.
  • Contribute to the hospital's business plan and support departmental managers to formulate departmental plans and objectives.
  • Ensure delivery of NHS activity according to RTT 18 week protocols.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level or postgraduate leadership and management qualification.
  • Sound financial skills to read and interpret financial data.
  • Experience in analysis, reporting, and proposal development for capital assets and infrastructure investment.
  • Experience in commercial contract management.
  • Knowledge of the service sector and systems and processes used for revenue management and collection, debtors management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements within hospital management.
