About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Compass Associates. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic, operational, and business development plan for our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership for the effective management of all non-clinical functions within the hospital, ensuring the efficient delivery of support services.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Services to create and deliver the hospital's business plan, including the development of new services and the optimization of existing ones.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue business development opportunities, such as new services and partnerships, to maximize patient activity and increase revenue.
  • Operational Management: Ensure the delivery of NHS activity according to RTT 18 week protocols, and work with relevant departments to maximize patient activity and increase revenue.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Educated to degree level or postgraduate leadership and management qualification.
  • Financial Skills: Sound financial skills to read and interpret financial data.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience in a healthcare setting and in a similar role, with experience in analysis, reporting, and proposal development for capital assets and infrastructure investment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, knowledge of regulatory requirements within hospital management, and experience in recruitment, selection, and development of staff.
