Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at an award-winning hotel in Cornwall. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the restaurant team, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards in our renowned restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and culinary concepts
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Contribute to the development of the hotel's culinary reputation and brand

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
