Our client is a reputable and expanding organization that offers a comprehensive range of M&E and facilities management solutions throughout the UK. They prioritize the safety and efficiency of your projects by employing a specialized engineering team alongside dependable building services professionals.
As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee M&E and facilities projects from inception to completion. This includes managing mechanical maintenance schedules, installations, project designs, valuations, and budget reporting.
You will serve as the primary contact for both the engineering team and clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring strong relationships, cost management, and timely delivery of solutions tailored to client needs.
This role is based in the Stoke on Trent office and will require travel across various sites in the Midlands and North West of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of contact and lead for the project team throughout the delivery process.
- Establish and nurture key relationships with clients and stakeholders to guarantee consistent service delivery.
- Conduct project valuations and manage variations while possessing a thorough understanding of standard construction contracts and processes.
- Oversee subcontractor management, ensuring compliance with procurement processes and contract orders.
- Manage day-to-day labor resources and subcontractors effectively.
- Provide regular updates on project expenditures against the allocated budget.
- Perform site surveys for both new and existing installations.
- Engage in tendering for new projects and fostering new client relationships.
- Implement health and safety planning and management protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, electrical installation, or facilities management.
- Commercial expertise in managing construction contracts.
- Relevant qualifications such as C&G or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
- Health & Safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH).
- A Project Management qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to secure new business opportunities.
