Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Smart Manufacturing in Stoke-on-Trent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical structures, including fabricated structures, sheet metalwork, and machined components.
  • Produce general arrangement and assembly drawings/instructions to ensure efficient production and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong understanding of design principles and engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
