Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Safety Software Assurance Engineers to contribute to multiple projects and expand our business capabilities.

Current Projects

Our ongoing initiatives include:

  • Three significant Air Traffic Control (ATC) software development projects.
  • Legislation and development of AI-driven remote inspection, maintenance, and repair vehicles for railway infrastructure.
  • Creation of a safety electronic unit for torpedoes.
  • System integration and software development for submarine command and control subsystems.
  • Niche safety engineering consultancy for innovative systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an Engineering Degree and have substantial experience in Safety Engineering, with a solid understanding of system and software safety standards such as:

  • BS EN 61508
  • RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C
  • BS EN 26262
  • Def Stan 00-55
  • BS EN 50128

Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in high SIL/DAL projects, producing documentation that demonstrates compliance with safety standards.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing safety deliverables while engaging with clients.
  • Background as a Software Safety Engineer or Safety Assurance Manager within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Beneficial Experience

Experience in broader safety engineering activities, such as:

  • Hazard identification and analysis techniques.
  • SIL determination.
  • Cybersecurity safety assessments.
  • Environmental risk assessments.
Professional Development

Candidates should be working towards or already hold Chartered Engineer status as recognized by the Engineering Council and must be eligible for Security Clearance.
